    Job Description

    Inventory Management Specialist IV will help ensure sufficient inventory levels while reducing losses and inefficiencies.

    An Inventory Management Specialist IV (IMS IV) will perform the below duties in accordance with ASRC Federal ISO certified processes under direct guidance ASRC Federal Site Management personnel and others as assigned.


    Location:
    Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, San Diego, California

    Schedule:
    Monday-Friday, 5:30am-2:00pm


    Hourly Rate:
    $19.67

    Health & Welfare:
    $4.18/hr

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    Will perform Kind, Count and Condition (KCC) validation while processing receipts. Will segregate, stage and deliver bench stock material from Central staging area to designated depot shop.
    Places bench stock material into bins or other storage locations as designated by site management.

    Perform a Visual check inventory of all assigned bin locations daily and scan bins at or below the reorder point listed on the bin label.

    Makes entries into computer via keyboard and scanners.
    Apply bar code labels to bins as required.
    IMS IV will be expected to quickly route customer concerns to site management for resolution.
    Cross levels stock from one like bin in a storage location to another storage location to satisfy maintenance requirements.
    Qualifications & Skills
    3-5 years of customer service experience.
    Previous experience in customer service, inventory, shipping/receiving or administration is preferred.
    Daily requirement to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
    Requires individual to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
    May be required to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jack, delivery cart, etc., on a daily basis.
    Must understand and read basic instructions.
    May be required to wear hearing protection, safety goggles. Must wear OSHA approved safety shoes.
    Must be energetic and confident with sound practical judgment and good communications skills.
    Prior DOD bench stock experience highly desirable.
    Prior DOD supply experience not required but helpful.
    Required Licenses or Certifications
    High school diploma or equivalent
    Valid/Current Driver's License
