    Job Description

    This position is responsible for planning and developing new and current web functionality and applications for the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences (CAHS). The position will report to the Director of the Agro-Innovation Center (IT) in CAHS and secondarily to the Assistant Director of the Information and Impact Center (Marketing).

    This position may pay more than the minimum proposed salary listed above, depending on experience and/or qualifications of the selected candidate.

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement strategic vision for CAHS web presence and applications and provide leadership to AITC and IIC team.
    • Coordinate CAHS web content with IIC.
    • Manage web based event management and Social media interface for the entire College.
    • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in web application development and security and ensure CAHS web/mobile applications are secured.
    • Conduct code testing, threat modeling, design reviews, penetration test, vulnerability monitoring and remediation, etc.
    • Responsible for the development and management of CAHS website, intranet, and mobile applications.
    • Designing and Building custom WordPress themes and plugins. Manage hosting environment with WP Engine, including updates, security scans, backups, and troubleshooting.
    • Ensure Electronic Information Resource accessibility standards are met.
    • Develop and deliver measurable KPI to senior management.
    • Provide support and maintenance on the new and current applications. Gather and analyze web requirements from the CEP, CARC and Academics, faculty, and staff.
    • Ensures all web functions are accessibility compliant as regulated by USDA/NIFA. Incorporates responsive web design and technology into all site development. Manages web development using revision control software.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Required Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related field.
    • Three years of experience in web development/programming with relational databases to produce dynamic web-based applications. Experience in consulting and/or strategy of web
    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Experience with ASP/ASP.NET (or similar language), SQL Server (or similar), MS Server /IIS, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery, JSON, XML, HTML, CSS, SCSS, API's, Angular, Azure DevOps.
    • Experience with debugging web including Chrome/Android and mobile Safari.
    • Experience in consulting and/or strategy of web development/programming and in responsive web development.
