    Interventional Radiology Technologist

    Summa Health - Akron

    Full-Time, Benefit Eligible

    Schedule:
    First Shift, 4 x 10-hr shifts, call requirements

    Hire-On Incentive up to $10,000


    Summary:
    Operates radiologic equipment to obtain diagnostic radiographs, and assists on a technical level during invasive procedures. Ensures that all aspects of patients' records are processed properly to initiate procedure results in a timely manner.


    Formal Education Required:
    a. Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

    b. Current license to practice the art of Radiologic Technology in the State of Ohio

    c. Certification by the ARRT in Vascular Interventional Radiography a plus but not required.


    Experience & Training Required:
    a. Must be proficient in the performance of basic special procedures in approximately six (6) months.

    h. Dresses in accordance with the dress code policy. Always properly wears Summa identification badge above waist level and facing forward at all times.

    i. Apparel is always clean, professional, tasteful, tidy, and discreet. Maintains good personal hygiene.

    j. Follows safety procedures at all times; proactively takes steps to maintain safety of customers. Uses proper body mechanics and assistive devices as needed.

    k. Complies with Summa policies regarding confidentiality, privacy, safety, and security.

    l. Maintain 24/7 ON CALL for IR AND Neuro Interventions, must be within 30 minutes of hospital.


    Level of Physical Demands:
    a. Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.

    b. Requires squatting and kneeling occasionally.

    c. Bending, reaching, twisting, and stair climbing done frequently.

    d. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

    e. Requires working irregular hours and the type of work frequently varies.

    f. Requires dexterity in fingers and precision in work.

    $33.08/hr - $39.70/hr

    The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.

    Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.

    We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers.

    Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
