    About the Role:

    The Assistant Banking Center Manager is responsible for ensuring that the goals of the branch are met by providing excellent customer service in a team building atmosphere. Also responsible for managing operations in the absence of the Banking Center Manager.

    Responsibilities

    1. Promotes and cross-sells the Bank's products and services by assisting customers in their selection to meet their financial needs.
    2. Performs safe deposit duties by opening accounts, controlling access, assisting customers and accepting rental payments.
    3. Receives and places stop payment requests, check recorders and wire transfer requests.
    4. Makes decisions regarding the opening of new accounts, completes forms requiring customer signatures, accepts initial deposits; prepare all documents and items pertaining to checking accounts, savings accounts and certificates of deposit.
    5. Reviews reports necessary to job and maintains a superior level of accuracy in work.
    6. Provides assistance to Banking Center Manager.
    7. Maintains confidentiality of customer information.
    8. Acts as back up to teller area.
    9. Ensures compliance with all bank policies and procedures.
    10. Approve deposit transactions for immediate credit or that require override for Penalty, Inactive, Overdrafts Dormant and OFAC status or according to established guidelines.
    11. Responsible for ordering cash and monitoring cash limits for the tellers, vault, ATM and total office.
    12. Approve teller sheets to assure balancing, reporting and cash limits are within approved limits.
    13. Monitor reports to assure that MIL and CTR reporting is completed timely and accurately, assures transmission of reports to the Compliance Department and logging of transactions on appropriate logs.
    14. Ensures that the ATM is balanced and that the proper cash supply is within established limits.
    15. Ensures all accounts are opened in accordance with established Bank Policies and guidelines as well as procedures in the New Account Manual.
    16. Review and monitor deposit account exceptions and assure that exceptions are cleared in a timely manner.
    17. Daily dual review of the DDS reports as acting Banking Center Manager.
    18. The Assistant Banking Center Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of Customer Service to provide an Extraordinary Customer Service experience.
    19. Ensures that branch audits are performed on the established schedules.
    20. Approve Wire Transfer requests and sign Cashier Checks in accordance within approved limits.
    21. Ensures all opening and closing procedures are followed on a daily basis.
    22. Ensures all operational logs, security codes, keys and access devices and are assigned, logged and used in accordance with established guidelines.
    23. Performs alarm testing and 911 testing in accordance with established guidelines.
    24. Performs duties specific to this position and any other functions assigned by Management.
    25. Provides leadership and support to staff.
    26. Responsible for approving timecards and time off requests by payroll deadlines.
    27. May perform other duties as assignment by Management.
    About You:

    These specifications are guidelines based on the minimum experience required to perform the essential functions of the job. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines:
    1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5 years or more of related experience. Work related experience should consist of a financial institution with customer service background.
    2. Basic knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations and other Bank operational policies.
    3. Basic skills in computer operations and Microsoft Office products.
    4. Intermediate typing skills
    5. Basic math skills, the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers. Locate routine mathematical errors; count currency; coin and negotiable instruments in a timely manner.
    6. Effective oral, written and interpersonal Effective time management skills.
    7. The ability to understand and follow procedures, write correspondence and speak clearly to customers and other Bank employees.
    8. Ability to deal with difficult problems and work with minimal supervision while performing duties
