    Staff Pharmacist – Houston, MN

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Graduated from a college of pharmacy or an ACPE accredited school
    • Licensed Pharmacist in Minnesota
    • Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience in a retail environment
    • Exceptionally detail-oriented and well-organized, thriving in a fast-paced setting

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Foster healthier lives by building compassionate relationships with colleagues and customers
    • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of pharmacy practices and regulations
    • Contribute to the training of staff pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and customer service associates
    • Efficiently handle prescription processing, filling, and verification
    • Provide exceptional service by responding promptly to patient inquiries
    • Adhere strictly to pharmacy operations policies and procedures
    • Ensure compliance with all state and federal statutes governing pharmacy practices
    • Manage billing information for Medicaid and Medicare to guarantee proper payment for DME and supplies
    • Offer counseling to patients on new prescriptions and refills, addressing changes in therapy or patient condition
    • Resolve patient and staff concerns in the absence of the pharmacy manager
    • Readily assist pharmacy technicians and customer service associates as necessary
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest drug therapy information and side effects
    • Maintain CPR certification and fulfill continuing education requirements mandated by the Board of Pharmacy
    • Complete training and certification for administering immunizations and sustain proficiency
    • Stay informed about prescription drug pricing and reimbursement to enhance profit margins
    • Help manage drug inventory levels to optimize return on investment
    • Support promotional initiatives within the pharmacy and Home Health Care section
    • Ensure prompt responses to communications from corporate staff, typically within one business day
    • Engage in new programs and services to aid patients in achieving positive therapeutic outcomes
    • Champion continuous quality improvement and quality assurance efforts
    • Adapt swiftly to changes in company policy and procedures
    • Participate actively in regular touchpoint meetings, ensuring action items are addressed
    • Additional duties as assigned
