Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and both echo and vascular registries for a 13-week travel contract.

Responsibilities
Work setting includes adult acute care, adult outpatient, ED, and ICU environments
Performs vascular and echocardiography ultrasound studies across multiple patient care areas
Skills include Adult Echo, M-Mode, TEE, Treadmill and Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Bubble Study, Contrast Imaging, Portable Studies, RVIT/RVOT, and 3D Echo (preferred)
Equipment used includes GE and Toshiba ultrasound systems and PACS
Altera EMR experience preferred but not required
Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
On-call required Monday through Sunday
Performs a full range of vascular and cardiac ultrasound studies including TEE, stress echo, contrast imaging, portable studies, and EKG/ECG acquisition
Previous charge experience is preferred
Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result will result in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — this includes CBD products
Required lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting an offer

Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound and echocardiography
Both echo and vascular registries required; credentials accepted through ARDMS or CCI (e.g., RDCS, RVT, CCI RCS, CCI RVS)
Current BLS and ACLS required
Experience performing procedures on patients in ICU and ED settings
Proficiency with GE and Toshiba ultrasound equipment and PACS
Travel experience preferred
2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
License required if applicable
