Description
The CTTechnologist, under the direction of the Radiology Manager and theRadiologists, performs computerized Tomography procedures including proceduresof an invasive nature.
Machine is a Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner. The CT Technologist positions and instructs the patient,operates various pieces of specialized equipment and determines the technicalfactors for exposure. He/she must insure correct marking/labeling of all films.The CT Technologist must consistently provide safe, quality patient care.
He/she also must take call. 1. Graduate of approved AMA school ofRadiology and be a registered ARRT2. Possess knowledge in cross sectional anatomy3. Possession of two years diagnosticexperience, desirable4. Moderate to heavy physical effortrequired. Must apply proper body mechanics to safely transport patients and equipment.5. Ability to lift forty (40) pounds fromfloor to wheelchair or waist6. Ability to move forty (40) pounds sixfeet7. Ability to reach overhead holdingtwenty-five (25) pounds8. Ability to lift forty (40) pounds fromwheelchair to bed level9. Ability to pull forty (40) pounds fromstretcher to bed10. Ability to push 150-pound loaded stretcher300 feet11. Requires good stamina with flexibilityand good manual dexterity; motor skills to operate delicate equipment12. Requires computer skills13. Demonstrates accuratejudgment/decision-making ability consistent with radiology knowledge andskills.14. Provides quality customer service andpatient care using the standard radiology technology in accordance withestablished hospital policy/procedures
