InGenesis is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work with our client in Attica, NY. In this role, you will be working in the Mental Health Unit at Attica Correctional Facility.

Job Duties

Receive verbal report from the nurse who worked the satellite unit.
Process the MD orders (i.e. input the orders into CNET, print updated MARs, verify new MARs with 2nd RN)
Medicate the patients in RCTP OB, RCTP Dorm, Long term care, infirmary Therapeutic Behavioral Unit (TBU) and General population incarcerated individuals. (GP)
Document medications given, and refused
Control and tool count (with 2nd nurse)
Stock medication accountability- count stock medications and document on the appropriate form
Assess patients brought to the satellite unit, admit to RCTP if needed (documenting RCTP admission form)
Document RCTP nursing progress notes

Preferred Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license in state of New York

Hours:
varies to accommodate the needs of the unit and to be discussed at interview. Hours may include every other weekend.

Pay rate range commensurate on experience.
