Job Title: Building Automation System Technician

CALL AND SITE COORDINATION:
- Collaborates with call center to identify issues in the building.
- Supports other trades in troubleshooting systems.
- Monitors system for alarms, analyzes reports, and triages system messages within specified response times.

SYSTEM OPERATIONS:
- Monitors controlled systems for performance and issues.
- Backs up application software and ensures network integrity.
- Debugs programs, calibrates hardware/software, configures parameters, and tests control components.
- Conducts function checks and documents results for all systems.
- Sets up alarms for optimal efficiency.

SERVICE:
- Addresses service calls by diagnosing problems and implementing solutions.
- Collaborates with customers to create maintenance programs.
- Develops long-term service strategies.

PERFORMANCE QUALITY:
- Executes work per contract and company standards.
- Meets response time requirements and supports others in meeting them.
- Establishes procedures for service calls, maintenance, and commissioning tasks.

COMMUNICATIONS:
- Keeps stakeholders informed about building operations.
- Escalates building issues promptly.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma with 3-4 years of experience.
- Vocational school or associate degree in a technical trade preferred.
- Three years of experience in BAS monitoring and DDC controls.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, troubleshoot wiring, and understand HVAC systems.

DESIRED SKILLS:
- Delta Controls Certification.
- Building Automation Certification.

Abilities:
- Familiarity with computer screens and sitting for prolonged periods.
- Manual dexterity and good communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and follow technical instructions.
