Sr. Highway Transportation Project ManagerLocation:
Columbia or Charleston, SC
Salary:
$120,000 - $200,000 (DOE)
Experience:
15+ years of related experience
DAY TO DAY
Oversee highway analysis, design, reports, plan production, specifications, estimates, etc. for state and local clients.
Lead large-scale highway projects involving multiple disciplines and sub consultants.
Provide technical guidance on highway design-related matters.
Implement and/or execute QA/QC procedures for highway tasks and projects.
Coordinate, prepare, and conduct both internal and external meetings.
Develop budget, scope, and schedule for clients as well as internal use.
Manage invoicing and billing for assigned projects.
Provide training and mentorship to junior staff.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
Possess over 15 years of experience in performing and managing roadway design.
Hold a professional engineer (PE) registration in South Carolina.
Demonstrate experience in managing and mentoring engineering staff.
Have experience managing both conventional and design-build projects.
Possess a working knowledge of MicroStation, GeoPak, and/or Corridor Modeling.
Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and conceptually.
Apply effective use of project contingencies, including budgets and schedules.
Manage teams across multiple offices and with various sub consultants.
Establish clear lines of communication within the project team and with clients.
Show an intimate familiarity with client requirements, challenges, and growth areas.
Demonstrate the ability to address and manage change effectively.
Possess problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Be willing to travel occasionally to moderately as required.
