    Description

    US Oral Surgery Management is on the lookout for a highly motivated team player to take on the role of Assistant General Counsel. In this position, you'll be crucial in providing advice on transactions, contracts, employment matters, real estate, compliance, and healthcare regulations, while also offering legal support to our practices.     Requirements:

    • JD from an accredited law school, with bar licensure in one or more U.S. jurisdictions.
    • At least 6 years of combined law-firm and in-house experience, ideally within the healthcare sector.
    • Extensive legal expertise in transactions, contracts, healthcare regulations, compliance, and employment law.
    • Detail-oriented with outstanding analytical and organizational skills, capable of managing diverse tasks and projects while exercising sound judgment and prioritizing deadlines.
    • Thrives in a constantly evolving, fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively.
    • Ability to work independently within a small legal team.
    • Business-focused with a customer-centric approach to providing legal solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Offer internal legal advice to the company's stakeholders and teams on various legal matters. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's operations to provide appropriate legal advice and strategies.
    • Collaborate on legal aspects of business development projects, including acquisitions and other transactions.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and policies.
    • Handle contract negotiations, drafting, and reviews across the organization.
    • Review and interpret laws and regulations to assess their impact on the company.
    • Create policies to support the business and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
    • Conduct or assist in internal investigations related to compliance.
    • Ensure legal compliance in marketing materials and other documents.
    • Provide guidance on healthcare regulatory issues such as HIPAA, cybersecurity, Medicare/Medicaid, and more.
