    Payroll Assistant

    :

    *Manage accounts receivable; verify payments and deposits made through the bank account and coordinate with the bank.
    *Manage weekly/monthly payroll activities and prepare monthly payroll report.
    *Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
    *Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them.
    *Perform basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, processing the mail, etc.
    *Assist the controller with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.

    :


    • 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
    *Familiarity with basic payroll principles
    *Proficiency with computers and accounting software.
    *Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills
    *Payroll
    -related experience required, previously experience in an AR/AP role is a plus
    *Previous experience utilizing Paychex payroll system is a plus
    *Basic MS Excel skills a must.
