This role is at our Macedon, NY headquarters and can be hybrid.

    WHAT WE NEED

    At BRF, the Senior Accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Responsible for maintaining the company's financial information in compliance with US GAAP.
    • Lead the Month-End and Year-End closing process, ensuring that they are accurate and timely delivered.
    • Lead the Monthly GL Accounts reconciliation Process.
    • Daily Bank reconciliation.
    • Prepare Manual Journal Entries, Workers Comp Accruals, Temp Workers Accruals, Payroll Accruals, interest expense accruals.
    • Manage and prepare prepaid expenses allocations.
    • Intercompany transactions.
    • Filing the Sales and Use Tax Return in several Jurisdiction timely.
    • Ensure that the company recognizes timely Sales and COGS (Sales and COGS Reconciliation).
    • Prepare Monthly Financial Statements Package.
    • Develop Trusted new Accounting Policies research.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork within the finance department.
    • Monitor the Spare Parts Inventory and Cycle Count Activity
    • Prepare for financial audit and assist with the coordination of the audit process.
    • Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data.

    WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar degree
    • Five (5) plus years of experience in:
      1. Management of financial systems and budgets
      2. Financial reporting
      3. Financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial advice
    • Manufacturing Environment (preferred)

    At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $80,000 and $90,000 annually. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
