    This opportunity is with one of the nations largest Financial Servicescompanies and considered on a Contract-to

    Attend daily / weekly conference calls as and when requiredRespond to in person, email, IM and telephone to all technical queries for the production environmentStrong focus on ownership of issues from their reporting to their resolutionProvide day-to-day production support services for Custom Applications / ReportsTo provide product support and ensure smooth operation of the systemsKnowledge of Operating Systems, Middleware, DB , Webservers, batch controlSupport assigned systems and / or projects through broad conceptual understanding of capabilities and direction of technology, coupled with an in - depth knowledge of the technology required and the needs of business environmentAnticipate customer needs, and effectively communicate in a manner consistent with the audienceUtilize outstanding analytical and diagnostic skills when dealing with complex issues and uncertainty, and make sound decisions quickly while carefully evaluating risks and alternatives before taking actionMust have requirements:Linux / UNIX environment - very comfortable managing Unix environmentDB - Oracle DB and SQL DBJob scheduling - batch scheduling - AutosysMonitoring - protection support role - knowledge of ITRS Geneos, they are open to different monitoring tool experienceScripting (general knowledge - open and debug a script)

    • Python and some Java based scriptingBrokerage house (JPMC, Morgan Stanley, etc.)
