    Position Overview

    One of our Partners in New York is seeking an experienced

    Hospitalist Physician Assistant

    to provide

    24-hour call coverage

    for the inpatient hospital medicine service. The provider will support adult inpatient care, including admissions, cross-coverage, and overnight patient management.

    This role follows a

    24-hour call coverage model , where the provider must remain

    within a 20-minute radius of the hospital while on call . The


    primary active coverage window occurs overnight from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM , though the provider remains responsible for patient care needs throughout the call period.

    Top 20% nationally for hospitalist PA locum assignments (2026 market data)

    Assignment Highlights

    24-hour hospitalist call coverage

    Primary active clinical coverage

    5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

    Adult inpatient hospital medicine service

    Epic EMR required

    Community acute care hospital

    Top 20% provider pay nationally (2026 market benchmark)

    Job Responsibilities

    Provide

    inpatient hospital medicine coverage

    Manage admissions and overnight cross-coverage

    Evaluate and manage adult inpatient medical conditions

    Perform E&M services and document patient encounters

    Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff

    Document clinical encounters within

    Epic EMR

    Participate in handoffs and care coordination across shifts

    Skills & Experience

    Prior

    hospitalist or inpatient medicine experience

    Experience managing

    adult inpatient medical patients

    Epic EMR experience required

    Strong clinical decision-making skills

    Ability to manage overnight coverage independently
