    Threat Tec is seeking a dynamic IT Manager with a strong emphasis on cyber security to join our team at the headquarters in Hampton, VA
    As the IT Manager, you will oversee the entire spectrum of information technology operations, with a particular focus on enhancing cyber defense capabilities to protect our organization and our clients from evolving threats
    Responsibilities


    • Serve as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), overseeing the development, implementation, and management of security policies and procedures to ensure the protection of IT infrastructure and data assets against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
    • Manage information technology and computer systems in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Lead and manage the IT staff, including recruitment, training, and coaching, to build a high-performing team.
    • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate policies and procedures to ensure compliance and security standards.
    • Ensure the security of data, network access, and backup systems through robust security measures and protocols.
    • Connect user needs with system functionality to develop organizational policies that enhance user experience and security.
    • Audit IT processes regularly and develop improvement plans to address any deficiencies or vulnerabilities.
    • Preserve assets, information security, and control structures through rigorous monitoring and risk management practices.
    • Develop and manage the annual budget for the IT department, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
    • Identify problematic areas within the IT infrastructure and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Classified Information Systems Setup: Overseeing the setup and configuration of classified information systems, ensuring compliance with government regulations and security standards such as NIST SP and RMF.
    • Security Policy Development: Developing security policies and procedures specific to classified information systems, outlining access controls, data handling procedures, and incident response protocols.
    • Risk Management for

    Classified Systems:

    Identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks specific to classified systems, including conducting risk assessments, and implementing appropriate controls to protect sensitive information.

    * eMASS Experience: Demonstrating proficiency with tools like the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) for managing the Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) process for classified systems, including documentation and reporting requirements
    Requirements


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, with a strong focus on cyber security.
    • Possession of relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Data Professional (CDP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Cybersecurity Fundamentals (CSX).
    • Proven track record in managing and supporting helpdesk teams, including monitoring performance and providing feedback reports.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders and provide timely support and assistance.
    • Experience in managing escalations and ensuring tickets are resolved in a timely manner.
    • Ability to make recommendations to improve operational efficiency based on data analysis and performance metrics.
    • 2+ yrs experience in a ISSM role as a qualification.
    • Experience maintaining information system entries in EMASS
