Summary:
The Division of Clinical Science at Moffitt Cancer Center is searching for physician scientists to enhance translational research efforts. The ideal candidate will continue their independent research in the cancer field. Candidates should possess clinical expertise and training in medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, or pathology. They will align with tumor-specific Departments based on their research and clinical preferences and engage in patient care while fostering interdisciplinary team collaboration. The candidate is expected to collaborate closely with their Department Chair to facilitate the creation of clinical trials or translational research studies leveraging Moffitt's strengths in precision medicine, immune and cellular therapy, and the evolution of cancer. Candidates will become part of one of the five main CCSG Research Programs - Molecular Medicine, Tumor Immunology, Cancer Biology and Evolution, Cancer Epidemiology, and Health Outcomes & Behavior. Additionally, there are four Centers of Excellence in Lung Cancer, Skin Cancer, Evolutionary Therapy, and Immunization & Infection Research in Cancer that support interdisciplinary research and infrastructure. The role offers comprehensive support including a generous start-up package, access to existing tissue and data resources, collaborative faculty, large patient volumes for research, and cutting-edge technology and data science resources.
