    Invesco Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is evolving its capabilities and is looking for new Team members.

    Enterprise Risk is a global Second Line of Defense function that engages with Invesco Business teams to facilitate delivery and oversight of the risk management framework and provide a consistent, aligned approach to risk management across the firm.

    Our firm is adopting new technologies, strengthening our data strategy, expanding our use of third parties, and evolving our business model(s) to better serve our clients.

    Our risk management frameworks must evolve in parallel to support this transformation. The Sr. Manager of Information Risk and Controls is a leadership and expert role responsible for supporting risk management evolution.

    This person will be supporting Global Head of Information Risk and Controls for overseeing, evaluating, and improving the effectiveness of the second line of defense as well as enhancing the execution of the first line of defense.

    Partnering with a team of subject matter experts, a key and strategic focus will be to develop, mobilize and support next generation and cross-disciplinary information risk frameworks, controls, and governance that will support the ongoing transformation of our business.

    You will be responsible to:


    Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of emerging digital, cloud, and AI/ML risks, ensuring a robust risk posture amidst evolving technological trends.


    Develop and implement a robust information risk and control framework to enhance the firm's second line of defense across Services, Technology, and Security (STS), ensuring consistency in risk identification and control implementation.


    Analyze current risks and monitor emerging risks affecting STS, developing a set of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to monitor control adequacy, quality, and efficacy.


    Partner with the first line of defense and collaborate with Internal Audit, Global Compliance, and Risk teams to review and strengthen the control environment, improve STS processes, and provide independent checks and challenges.


    Lead the development and implementation of risk management policies, procedures, and a governance structure, ensuring appropriate risk oversight, reporting across STS, and compliance with regional regulatory requirements.


    Engage with industry networks and associations to stay updated on industry developments in technology, operational, and security risk management, sharing insights with STS business functions.


    Foster collaboration with the broader internal risk community and key global business stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management across the organization.

    Drive risk awareness among employees through training and education interventions, promoting a culture of risk awareness.


    Provide strategic leadership to the Information Risk Management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence, and engaging with senior stakeholders to provide insightful reports and recommendations on the risk landscape.

    The experience you Bring:


    7-10 years of risk & control experience with at least 5+ years of experience driving risk management across various lines of defense in a global banking/financial services environment/ operational risk consulting with FSI experience.

    Understanding of complex Technology and Cyber Security background.


    Will consider internal candidates who understand Invesco-related risk and have work experience that supports their ability to build the risk organization with some level of support from others.

    Hands-on experience in defining and implementing information risk management and control frameworks.

    Broad understanding of best practice risk frameworks such as COSO, COBIT, etc.

    Ability to build consensus through data-driven communication and factual and relevant information presentation.

    Advanced analytical skills and the ability to exercise judgment and solve complex problems.

    Asset management or financial services industry experience preferred.

    Working knowledge of current and emerging technologies, automation tools

    Undergraduate degree and MBA or master's degree in a relevant subject matter preferred.

    Certification in at least one of the following:

    FRM, CRISC, CISSP, CIPP, CISA, CPA, etc.
