    Job DescriptionDescription:

    The Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist position is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist should have at least 2-4 years previous related accounting experience. This position is accountable for monitoring daily bank deposits, applying payments to customer accounts, creation of client invoices/statements, and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy. The Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist will be a collaborative member of a cross-functional accounting team and will also be expected to play a supporting role in billing process optimization and improvement projects where applicable.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field is preferred
    • 2-4 years' experience in Accounting, Customer Billing/Accounts Receivable, and/or Accounts Payable
    • Understanding of invoicing, accounts receivable, and collections processes
    • Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
    • Strong reporting and analytical skills
    • Detail oriented, organized, with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently within a structured, daily task-oriented, work environment
    • Desire to learn and expand skillset within a growing accounting team

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Daily monitoring of bank deposits for high-volume client payments daily)
    • Creation of daily deposit and client billing reports within accounting systems
    • Support daily client invoicing and monthly statement creation processes
    • Ongoing reconciliation of deposit accounts to client billing
    • Tracking of exceptions within daily deposits and billing reports
    • Ongoing review of accounts receivable balances and facilitation of client follow-up to ensure timely payments
    • Provide recommendations to management for process optimization within the client billing function and work collaboratively with peers on process improvements projects
    • Provide billing and accounts receivable support to other department staff members as needed
    • Provide general accounting related clerical and administrative support to management as needed
