- Lead and manage computer network defense assessments, including threat intelligence, Risk identification, vulnerability management, and security operations.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits of the organization's infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
- Assess compliance against NIST, DoD, USMC and other security requirements to include the RMF NIST security controls and DISA STIGs/SRGs
- Continuously assess the cybersecurity posture of assigned sites by verifying scans, reviewing policies and procedures, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct assessment activities according to documented procedures, utilizing tools like ACAS, Tanium, Forescout, and Evaluate STIG.
- Provide remediation recommendations to address any cybersecurity issues.
- Generate and disseminate weekly and monthly ACAS scan reports.
- Provide training on the usage of cybersecurity tools, assessment procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with CSWFs to enhance their cybersecurity knowledge.
- Drive continuous improvement of computer network defense capabilities through the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes.
- Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and industry best practices in computer network defense. Assess their potential impact on the organization and make recommendations for proactive measures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT related field or at least five years of experience performing Computer Network Defense.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in computer network defense, cybersecurity, and conducting assessments.
- knowledge of DOD security controls to include DISA Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) and the DOD IA Certification and Accreditation Process and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Familiarity with Marine Corps and DISA cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification and the ability to obtain a DoD 8570 CSSP Auditor certification.
