    The Surgical Tech III works under the direction of the RN, assisting in nursing care and preparation of surgical patient by performance of routine or delegated duties.

    Responsible for proper room set up, proficient in sterile technique, sets up sterile field with proper instrumentation related to the procedure, assists the surgeon during the case, counts sponges, sharps and instruments in accordance with policy.

    Assists with room turnover in an efficient manner at the end of all cases. This position will demonstrate competency in the care of patients of all age groups. Must be able to take call and/or work weekends as needed.

    EDUCATION EXPERIENCEMust be a graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program or LPN program. Experience of greater than six months as an LPN or ORT is preferred.

    Must meet qualifications of Surgical Tech I and II..Valid and active surgical tech certification or LPN licensure in appropriate stateCPR required Requirements No additional requirements from any stated in the above description.
