DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performing all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
Monitoring and analyzing Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify security issues for remediation.
Conducting regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and information systems security policies and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans.
Developing, testing, and operating firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise antivirus systems, and software deployment tools.
Researching, evaluating, testing, and implementing new security software or devices.
Implementing, enforcing, communicating, and developing security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, telecommunications, and information systems security education/awareness programs.
Performing periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, file system, and external Web integrity scans to determine compliance.
Communicating alerts to agencies regarding intrusions and compromises to their network infrastructure, applications, and operating systems.

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE: TS/SCI CLEARANCE WITH POLY REQUIRED *IAT Level II Certification Required

Experience:

HS or GED with 14 years of experience Bachelors with 4 years of experience Mandatory: Configuration and Document Management Security Policy Security Vulnerability Scanning Tools System Security Plan (SSP)

Desired:
ServiceNow Ticketing System Certification (one of the following): CEH, CompTIA A+ CE, CompTIA Network+ CE GWGES-0050
