Job Title Senior Director of Software Engineering, New Product Introduction Job Description
As a key member of the Image Guided Therahy-Devices (IGT-D) R&D management team the Senior Director of Software Engineering, NPI Gleads a global R&D team and drives full product development lifecycle of clinical application and our SW platform architecture.
Your role:
Attract, retain, and develop a global software NPI organization to develop differentiated platform and clinical software applications that radically improve ease-of-use of intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and hemodynamic diagnostic devices through x-ray and device co-registration and application of artificial intelligence strategies in both coronary vascular and peripheral vascular procedures.
Formulates and implements long-term vision/direction/strategy in partnership with business leads: steering the group to add maximum value to the business.
Manages capabilities of the department to develop and maintain a long-term view of the required competences and knowledge to introduce new clinical SW applications for intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and hemodynamic diagnostic devices, while upgrading our platform architecture; leveraging data, artificial intelligence algorithms, Cloud, and product development strategies; and ensures department leads drive teams follow standard software development tools and practices.
Ensures teams have adequate resources and tools, is responsible for leading our SW architecture team technology and architecture in the department, and is responsible for maintaining and improving the department's knowledge and expertise.
Ensures appropriate personnel management practices regarding recruitment and selection, adequate staffing, remuneration, performance appraisals, education and training, and management development policy.
Ensures an engaged, innovative, and inspiring working environment in the department by motivating, challenging, and coaching the department 's employees towards growth, manages and optimizes the innovative climate, stimulating entrepreneurship and driving engagement.
You're the right fit if:
You've acquired minimum of 12 years of experience in management and technical management experience in the medical device industry, with minimum of 5 years at a Senior Management level.
Your skills include a track record of building and driving high-performance global teams for results to commitments in software, and new product introduction, in a highly regulated environment, preferred in medical devices.
You will have a Bachelor's/MS/PhD degree in Engineering/Computer Sciences or related field;
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this
