We are currently searching for an experienced Engineer in Training to support our Southwest Region located in Utah.


What youll be doing:
Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans and designs for projectsAssists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimatesParticipate in the collection and analysis of data and preparation of satisfactory designsPerform design calculations and conduct investigative analyses toward completion of assigned design tasks, and direct preparation of design specificationsPerform quantity estimates, detailing and check calculations and drawingsOrganize scheduling of specific tasks and assignmentsPerforms other duties as assignedWhat you need to have:Bachelors degree in Civil EngineeringEIT Certification is required0-4 years of experiencePrevious internship/co-op experience in transportation and municipal designExperience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStationCharacteristics of a successful Volkert team member: Be a brand ambassador for the company who engages in diversity and inclusion,Be self-motivated to meet individual goals and maintain accountability in a team environmentExercise initiative and independent judgement in the solution of work problemsBe able to communicate effectively- verbal and writtenBe able to multi-task in a team environment
