    Description

    AstraWorks is a recruiting agency focused on the Power, Renewable Energy, and Design/Build market. We place professionals across various disciplines including Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental, Real Estate and Operations.

    We're partnered with an industry leading EPC firm to identify a Community Outreach Specialist in Upstate New York to conduct communication and public outreach services for construction projects.

    Other locations that are preferred: Rochester, NY & Syracuse, NY.

    This is NOT a PR/Marketing role.

    Responsibilities would include:

    • Coordinating all outreach efforts/activities for a project
    • Work with Project Managers and Field Staff to resolve issues related to construction
    • Act as a liaison for project to landowners, clients, and the public
    • Engage with community members directly at construction sites
    • Assist implementation of strategic outreach plans and processes.
    • Community Outreach and Communication
    • Stakeholder management

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in communications, environmental studies, forestry or a related field from an accredited program required. Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • 5-10 years minimum experience
    • Ability to understand technical information and communicate that information to the public.
    • Public Speaking
    • Local Government agency knowledge
