    Software Engineering Leadership Opportunity

    Lead the design, development, and testing of software products for Mesoscale Discovery.

    About the Role

    We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead our software engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Agile software management, full-stack development, and cloud-based deployments. They will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining software products that meet our high standards.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and testing software products.
    • Provide expertise in UI, architectural, database, and instrument controls for company software products.
    • Oversee modeling of behaviors, object hierarchies, database structures, and systems.
    • Conduct unit and integration testing, verification, and debugging of systems.
    • Present and participate in peer reviews of code and designs.
    • Extend existing systems for new capabilities, including data analysis.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required, Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in software engineering with leadership responsibilities.
    • Experience with Agile software management in a lead role.

    Preferred Skills

    • Advanced knowledge of best software processes and practices.
    • Experience with full-stack development, cloud-based deployments, and build tools.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to understand large software code bases.
