    Description


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    1. Keep all Kid's Club children safe by being responsible and diligent.
    2. Note Kid's Club children behavior and actions, be able to convey those back to a supervisor and/ or parent.
    3. Create games, activities, crafts ect. to keep children entertained and learning.
    4. Dress and clean up children, make sure they have appropriate clothing for the activities they are performing.
    5. Cleaning the Kid's Club facility.
    6. Taking reservations and handling money.
    7. This is not an exhaustive list of duties and others may be added as necessary.
    RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY
    1. Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and resort guests at all times.
    2. Protect the safety of children attending kids club at all times.
    3. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
    4. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
    5. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
    6. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
    7. Drive in accordance with the law and resort policies.
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Must have the ability and desire to work with infants, toddlers and school aged children. Must have a TB test performed, background check and fingerprints. Must be at least 16 years of age, prefer 18+. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Completion of eight (8) hours of continuing education required annually. Must have knowledge of laws and legal issues involving child care. High School diploma or a general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Certificates, License, Registrations

    Current child/ infant CPR and First Aid cards or participation in training provided by the resort or be enrolled in a training program off property within 1 month of date of hire.

The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands to handle, or feel. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
