    Description

    The role of Solutions Architect at Coalition Technologies is key in defining, planning, and executing web design and development projects. Work closely with sales, strategy, project management, design, and development teams. Responsibilities may also include front end or back end development on high-value or complex projects. The Solutions Architect reports directly to the Director of Design and Development and the President.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Guide prospects on various platforms' solutions (e.g. BigCommerce, Shopify, Magento, WordPress) by offering a consultative approach with analysis to align with their needs.
    • Conduct needs analysis and technical scoping sessions with potential clients to gather key requirements.
    • Provide pre-sales technical consulting to the sales team through online demos, calls, and visits with project managers.
    • Infrequent site visits will resume post resolution of COVID-19 concerns.
    • Thoroughly document prospect and client needs and project requirements.
    • Be a trusted advisor to prospects and partners, representing the sales and marketing teams.
    • Collaborate with the sales team on proposals and RFPs to address client requirements.
    • Work with third-party partners on developing custom solutions when needed.
    • Create thought leadership content, white papers, and sales/marketing collateral highlighting agency capabilities.
    • Develop processes to ensure industry-leading operations within the teams.
    • Stay updated on platform features to provide top guidance to clients.
    • Lead internal project planning and recurring solutions development for client needs.
    • Support design and project management teams during project discovery to anticipate future phases.
    • Provide emergency development support for key clients.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 4-5+ years of Solutions Engineering experience in a relevant market or a similar senior development position.
    • Strong knowledge of web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
    • Experience with various ecommerce and CMS platforms like BigCommerce, Shopify, Magento, and WordPress.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
    • Expertise in solution architecting, project scoping, and product demonstration.
    • Ability to present to C-level executives and technical audiences.
    • Familiarity with commerce solutions and applications.
    • Sales methodology and solution selling training preferred.
    • Charismatic, energetic, and motivated to collaborate with multiple groups.
    • Strong communication, organizational skills with a drive for success.

    *California, New York, Washington, and Colorado: starting base pay for this position ranges between $35 per hour. Compensation varies based on experience, qualifications, skills, location, and seniority. Compensation in other locations may differ.
