    Description

    Senior Analyst Payment Modeling and Analysis, Value-Based Care


    This position will focus on analyzing and reporting data related to value-based care at West Virginia University Health System. The analyst will work with healthcare claim data to support the Payer Relations and Contracting staff in their analysis of charges and payments. The goal is to present reports to key management and staff, recommending solutions to assist in contract negotiation and decision-making.


    The primary responsibilities include:


    • Extracting data from various internal and external sources.
    • Conducting analysis of revenue for all third-party payer contracts.
    • Modeling payment percentages.
    • Identifying opportunities for new data uses.

    The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field. Two years' experience in financial analytics are also required. A master's degree or advanced certification may be preferred by some employers.
