- Demonstrate safe and efficient operation of equipment while completing assigned tasks
- Perform pre-operational/post-operational checks of equipment to ensure equipment can be operated safely
- Perform work area examinations to ensure a safe work environment. Any observed hazards must be noted, reported to the supervisor and corrected if possible
- Obey company policies, procedures and work rules. Obey state and federal safety, health and environmental regulations
- Operate a range of loaders including skip loader, front loader, man lift and fork lift
- Perform plant maintenance activities as directed
- Work may extend to include general labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping
- Some weekend and night work will be required
- Work at other Central Coast locations will be occasionally required
- Support other plant activities as directed

Job Summary
Main responsibility will be operating equipment commonly found necessary for proper maintenance of a ready-mix plant. Equipment will include loader, water truck, man lift, fork lift, etc. Training will also cover back-up batch activities and plant maintenance. Daily responsibilities may not be site specific.
