Description
We are currently looking to hire an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer for one of our clients who are a Global Leader in the production of Clean Energy. This role will be located in their brand-new facilities on the East Coast and will lead all operations, maintenance and development for the electrical equipment and plant instrumentation. They are one of the worlds leading renewable fuel producers and are truly focused on reducing global carbon emissions, protecting the environment, and sustaining life for generations to come.
The I&C Engineers role will be focused primarily on designing, developing, maintaining, installing, and managing the equipment onsite required to monitor and control the generation of renewable energy from landfill waste. This is a pivotal role, within a brand-new facility, and in a growing businesses and as such will offer you a great opportunity to rapid career progression.
Below is a list of the key responsibilities for the role, whilst not exhaustive, that you'll need to be able to perform.
PLC & SCADA responsibility and ownership.
Installing wiring and conduit in assembling and troubleshooting circuits.
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical motors and generators.
Perform task on electronic equipment including but not limited to troubleshooting and repairing camera systems, electronic sensors and programming programmable logic controllers used to operate complex machinery.
Calibrate, repair or replace instrument transmitters.
Parts- Analyzing part failure/malfunction, considering alternatives, using precision equipment, maintaining spare part inventory.
Preventive Maintenance - Performing routine scheduled maintenance tasks related to instrument and electrical work.
To be successful in the role you'll need a relevant post-secondary education and/or trades certification and/or significant industrial training in the relevant technical field required. A minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience maintaining industrial plant process equipment is preferred, as is experience in either solid waste, wastewater, biogas, power generation or other relevant industry.
