- Performs specialized and complex experiments/studies.
- Participates in the publication of significant research results.
- Advances expertise through education, training, and research.
- Writes extramural grants/proposals to gain support when appropriate.
- Collects, prepares, analyzes, dissects, and evaluates specimens and tissue cultures.
- Weighs and anesthetizes laboratory animals for experiments.
- Operates sensitive and highly complex laboratory equipment.
- Performs calculations to complete research test results.
- Performs photography and darkroom processing.
- Participates in training sessions and workshops.
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
- Responsible for recruiting, consenting, and enrolling study participants.
- Conducts assessments of potential study participants.
- Pre-screens potential participants for study eligibility using a brief screening assessment.
- Administers all study assessments and provides participant incentives.
- Ensures all study assessments are scheduled and notifies participants of upcoming appointments.
- Reports adverse events and ensures regulatory compliance.
- Documents and records study data.
- Participates in required in-person and remote trainings and meetings.
- Coordinates with clinic personnel for clinical data abstraction.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

The University of Miami UHealth System is seeking a Research Associate 2 to work at Soffer Clinical Research Center in Miami. The incumbent supports research activities under the direction of a principal investigator, program director, or their designee.
