    Growing stable start-up Property & Casualty program insurance fronting platform company is seeking a Reinsurance Placement Professional to join their small Reinsurance Placement team.

    This role reports to/ supports the Company's Chief Reinsurance Officer.

    Reinsurance Brokers or Placement Specialists (ceded or assumed) would be good fits for this role provided they can work independently and are able to work in a dynamic environment.

    The role is responsible for managing the treaty placement of reinsurance for designated new and renewal Programs (Commercial P&C-casualty, property & prof lines).

    The hire will work on all aspects of the reinsurance placement process, including development of reinsurance strategy to achieve program and corporate business objectives, review/analysis of reinsurance marketing list, preparation of submission materials in coordination with placing broker (or direct to Reinsurance carrier) and MGA, thru to negotiation of business terms (working with legal team to document).

    The hire will also manage reinsurance activities through treaty period.

    Seeking strong knowledge of reinsurance treaty structure, preferably 8+ years in P&C reinsurance industry (working with reinsurance intermediary, reinsurer or insurer handling reinsurance placement), and experience with Program, MGA +/- MGU business preferred.

    Candidates should also be thorough and detailed oriented, able to work independently, can think on their feet and manage the unexpected, and are dogged and tenacious.

    Candidate should also have strong external (broker or reinsurer) contacts, and have confidence in presenting to outside parties on why they should do business (place reinsurance) and why the individual deal has merit.

    This role will meet with the team at least 2x/year for collaboration & the role includes 20% travel (to foster relationships, attend industry events).
