    Woodard Builders Supply is a leading distributor of architectural doors, frames hardware that was founded in 1936. We are a family owned and operated business. Our hours of operation are 8-5, Monday thru Friday. We are currently seeking a dedicated, self-motivated individual to support our Accounting Department. Essential functions of this position would include assisting is all areas: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, and various other duties as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursements filing, data entry, A/P matching and filing
    • Support Accounts Receivable : process daily invoices/credits, apply cash receipts, prepare deposits and post credit card sales
    • General accounting and administration support: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing
    • Payroll: Process time cards and attendance accuracy, enter and calculate payroll
    • Assist in maintaining Vendor and Customer documentation: W-9, Certificates of Insurance, Tax exemption certificates.
    • Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards
    • Perform other duties and projects as assigned in line with department and company needs

    Qualifications:

    • 2 years college level accounting classes; preferred
    • 3-5 years working accounting experience; preferred
      • Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Payroll, Sales Tax, and Payroll Tax reporting
    • Must have specific knowledge of bookkeeping and standard accounting methods and procedures.
    • Strong computer skills using Accounting Software. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and 10 key
    • Experience in data entry
    • Strong work ethic with a defined sense of urgency, ownership and accountability for job duties
    • Ability to prioritize, self-manage, and multitask
    • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Must be able to pass a drug test at the time of interview and a criminal background check
