    Summary:
    As a Surgical Technologist at Virtua Health, you will play a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and/or Physician.

    You will ensure the maintenance of a sterile field and contribute to quality patient care throughout the operative procedure. Additionally, you will assist in patient transportation, specimen handling, and preparation of instruments for future procedures.


    Position Responsibilities:

    • Scrubbing for, preparing, and assisting during surgical procedures
    • Providing support in patient transportation and transfer
    • Handling specimens according to policy

    Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
    Previous Operating Room training or experience



    Required Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent

    Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program



    Training/Certifications/Licensure:
    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    Preferred Certification as a Surgical Technologist

    Continued education requirements as mandated by the state of New Jersey
