Job Skills / Requirements
Job Summary/Purpose
Direct and assist Food Service I, II, and III employees engage in food preparation and meal service to ensure that the operations of the department run smoothly. Responsible for execution of all special meal functions. Assist Dietary Supervisor with inventory, ordering, and any other tasks as needed. This position requires complete competencies in Food Service I, Food Service II, and Food Service III. Team Lead competency will need to be completed within 6 months of hire.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
· Provides assistance to all areas of the dietary department as needed throughout the workday.
· Puts away inventory stock.
· Checks for proper storage of all food and paper supplies.
· Handles food in accordance with sanitation regulations.
· Assists both internal and external customers with any issues/concerns that may arise in collaboration with the Dietary Supervisor and Dietary Manager.
· Executes all special meal functions.
· Make decisions related to food production in the best interests of the department in collaboration with the Dietary Supervisor and Dietary Manager.
· Manage stressful situations with appropriate demeanor towards employees.
Role Minimum Qualifications
Required Education
· High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Licensure and Certifications – At Hire
