- Maintain patient medical records, update medical history, and vital signs as required.
- Perform complete patient X-ray procedures including taking, developing, and storing X-Rays.
- Complete periodontal charting as instructed.
- Prepare tools for the Provider and assist with exams.
- Perform preventative periodontal care like scaling, prophylaxis, root planing, and application of sealants.
- Carry out expanded functions such as placing restorations, cavity liners, and temporary crowns.
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and formulate treatment plans.
- Participate in infection control program and assist in clinic goal development.
- Education: Graduate of Dental Hygiene school.
- Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Active WA Dental Hygiene License, CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- Skills/Abilities: Proficiency in English/Spanish preferred. Knowledge of dental practices, hygiene concepts, dental anesthesia, and restorations. Ability to interact effectively with patients and colleagues, manage time efficiently, and utilize various computer programs.
