    We are looking for a self-motivated and energetic Controls Engineer with a high level of safety awareness with strengths in process and equipment development to support our Manufacturing Engineering department in Sturbridge, MA.

    The successful candidate will develop, troubleshoot, and optimize our fiber production processes. They will identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, yield, and productivity and then lead them to fruition. They will lead projects, develop new manufacturing techniques and interface with R&D in coordinating the release of new products.
    A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or five or more years applicable experience is required.

    We primarily provide everyday support to the manufacturing team and then spend the rest of our time on development efforts.

    Must have a positive "can do" attitude, be willing to take ownership of a problem and make sound decisions. You should streamline your work to deliver quality results with pace.
    Knowledge of the National Electric Code, NFPA79 and UL508.
    Strong knowledge of Siemens PLC control systems, including HMI packages such as WinCC Flexible and TIA portal. Allen Bradley experience is a plus.
    Experience in designing control cabinets is required.
    Experience in AutoCAD, Solidworks or other CAD software is required.
    Diverse software skills are a plus (e.g., C, C#, SQL,VB).
    Data analysis skills utilizing Excel, MS Query etc. are a plus.
