RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Varied work schedule with flexible scheduling arrangements
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for medical-surgical patients with some postpartum care responsibilities
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document patient care according to organizational policies
• Conduct patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and developmental needs
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
• Delegate and supervise activities of healthcare team members and other personnel
• Document all nursing interventions and patient responses in medical records
• Provide patient and family education and evaluate effectiveness of teaching
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities
• Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice or compact state licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required for registry/travel positions
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
• Must maintain clinical competencies appropriate to medical-surgical nursing practice
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and demonstrate physical agility for patient care needs
