    The Alameda Health Medical Group is seeking an Urologist in the Division of Urology and the Department of Surgery at Alameda Health System (AHS). AHS is an integrated public health system that spans 5 facilities, 4 ambulatory sites, and 800 beds providing primary, specialty, and Level 1 Trauma care to the residents of Alameda County.     Alameda Health Medical Group (AHMG) is a multispecialty entity that supports the majority of physicians who staff Alameda Health System.   • Facilitate all aspects of consultations, surgeries, and procedures for the Urology service in inpatient, procedural, operating room, and outpatient settings.
  • Work with and train general surgery residents who rotate on service
  • Collaborate with three Urologists and three midlevel providers on the Urology Team
  • Provide care to patients in the hospital using a collaborative, team model of care characterized by supportive physician/staff interaction.
  • Attend and participate in Urology Division meetings and other medical staff conferences including continuing education programs.
  • Plan and participate in in-service education programs for mid-level practitioners, nursing and other staff.
  • Serve as a professional role model for trainees with peers, patients, families and other members of the health care team
  • Work diligently with primary care physician/provider for a seamless transition from outpatient to hospital care with an accurate and timely discharge summary.
  • Cooperate with AHS in implementing new procedures, controls and systems to promote and facilitate quality, cost controls, reimbursement functions, standardization of products and equipment, and any other requests made by AHS.
  • Provide effective and timely communications to referring or admitting physicians, patients and families concerning the clinical status of each patient.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Division Chief or his/her designee.
