Job summary
The Senior Piping Designer provides guidance and design of piping construction documents for various systems including high purity gases chemicals upstream biologics processing fill/finish high purity water waste treatment clean process support utilities equipment layouts and the like.Mentor train mid-level less experienced designers in piping activities.
Develops piping systems using architectural equipment background layouts system performance requirements defined by project leadership team Participates services during construction responds RFIs shop drawing submittal review site observation preparation field-issued sketches participation construction meetings preliminary final punch lists as-built drawings Participates pre-design project activities site assessment site plan review verification built conditions Works with project team develops optimum system sizing routing materials space management piping systems leading team mid-level less experienced piping designers Executes work within approved budgets develop progress reports interface clients others Coordinate leads multiple High Value Engineering Centers Develops projects compliance engineering codes standards principles relevant specifications contractual requirements Produces under supervision Professional Engineer coordinating other disciplines structural electrical process etc Participates interdisciplinary review checking deliverables Mentor mid-level designers project teams Supports business development activities preparation qualifications interviews Performs quality control reviews work others Incorporation preliminary thermal expansion locate guides anchors provide evaluation Develop List Valve Specialty Tie-in Perform surveys material take-off MTO Provides technical expertise studies design efforts Other duties assigned
- High School Diploma GED required Associates degree technical focus preferred 12+ years experience
