Summary/Objective:
The Asbestos Worker is responsible for performing asbestos abatement and related fieldwork in accordance with regulatory standards and company safety protocols. This role involves working with ACM (asbestos-containing material) crew members to remove industrial pipe wrap, gaskets, and other materials. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and a strong team player. This position is primarily based in Colorado with minimal travel requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
- Complete daily timecards and job safety analysis (JSA) forms.
- Submit incident reports as needed.
- Maintain effective daily communication with crew members and supervisors.
Field Duties:
- Conduct asbestos abatement procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Follow proper disposal procedures for asbestos-containing materials.
- Maintain and inspect tools and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to site safety protocols.
- Perform general labor tasks such as hand auguring, shoveling, and lifting.
- Secure the job site at the end of each workday.
Other:
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

- Physical stamina and ability to work in challenging environments.
Work Environment:
This position operates in outdoor field environments and may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, and cold. The role requires the use of PPE and may involve contact with contaminated soil and asbestos materials.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel.
- Frequently required to stand for extended periods, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand for 2–3 hours at a time and walk short distances multiple times per day.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required depending on project needs.
Travel:
Job sites are typically located within 1 hour of the company's headquarters, with occasional travel up to 2.5 hours away.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2+ years relevant experience.
- Experience in asbestos abatement.
- Valid Colorado asbestos abatement certifications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Ability to work safely in hazardous environments.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Background in construction, restoration, or mold remediation.
- Experience with asbestos pipeline removal.
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable):
Must be authorized to work in the United States and possess a valid driver's license.
