    *Job Summary*Under the direction of the Director of Institutional Research and Assessment, the Analyst/Programmer constructs complex queries that are used to create reports, predictive models, and data visualizations. Responsibilities include providing expertise in Tableau, Evisions ARGOS and Ellucian (ERP) (Banner) by creating and maintaining table structures, data elements, and baseline reporting solutions.

    Proficiency with merging large and complex data sets using software such as SPSS.
    Proficiency in survey administration platforms such as Qualtrics and course evaluation software such as SmartEvals.
    Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel experience (i.e., pivot tables, cross tab queries, interactive charts).
    Strong analytics skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to work well individually as well as part of a team and ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders.

    Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously through completion.

    Essential Job Functions
    Analyzes, designs, develops, and test computer programs to create user-friendly reports, dashboards, and analytical models.
    Develop institutional level surveys in partnership with various offices to support college-wide strategic planning and institutional effectiveness.
    Builds and maintains data warehouse.

    Contributes to the validation of data and performs follow-up corrections to ensure accurate data is being displayed in the data warehouse.

    Review institutional needs and develop reporting specifications that define the desired result.
    Provide technical support and trainings to provide information necessary for users to operate data analytics platforms.

    Assist with the creation of reports or data from the Banner database for internal, state, federal, and accreditation needs (i.e., Mississippi Institution of Higher Learning, IPEDS, US News, etc.).

    Support the Director of Institutional Research & Assessment in handling request for information.

    *Qualifications*Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher education institution in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, or other relevant discipline with 3 years of experience.
    Master's degree in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or similar preferred
    A minimum of 2 years of working experience using SQL programming.
    A minimum of 3 years working experience in data analysis programming, or a combination of work.
