    Description

    This position is responsible for maintaining quality control processes, testing products, and recording and analyzing results gathered to ensure Sherwin products meet quality specifications.

    This position is responsible for testing production batches according to specific written testing methods and identifying issues of both in-spec and out-of-spec data.

    The technician will interpret results and historical data to ensure the product meets or exceeds the customer requirements for quality, as well as provide instructions to production personnel regarding adjustments to batches as needed.

    1st Shift, Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

    Enter all batch data into the electronic batch records system
    Utilize appropriate computer systems to ensure effective testing of products
    Place non-conforming material on hold as needed
    Maintain inventory of lab supplies
    Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures for Quality Department to meet ISO requirements
    Assist in training of other lab technicians as needed

    Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a quality control laboratory
    Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility
    Have an Associate Degree or higher in Chemistry
