Engineering Support Technician - Grand Rapids

Job description
Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for an Engineering Support Technician with our medical device client in Grand Rapids, MI.
This is a 6-month contract with a potential for extension.Pay:
$ $35.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Schedule:
Will work 3rd shift hours but will be trained on 1st shift hours.
Description
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions
Qualifications:
College degree in Engineering Discipline preferred, though not required; high school diploma required.
Understanding of Process Engineering
Able to learn computer programs such as MAP Agile and SAP
Understanding of Scientific Method (DMAIC) and strong problem solving acumen.
Strong communication skills
Former Medical Device experience preferred, though not required
