    Description

    Overview for the Tool Maker:
    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tool Maker to join our team.

    As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for creating, repairing, and maintaining various types of tools used in manufacturing processes.

    This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.


    Duties for the Tool Maker:

    • Design and build precision tools using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
    • Setup, operate and maintain various machining equipment such as a surface grinder, vertical mill, and engine lathe machines as well as a heat treat oven.
    • Troubleshoot die issues at the punch press machine
    • Assemble, calibrate, and test tools to ensure proper functionality
    • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy
    • Repair and modify existing tools as needed
    • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize tool designs
    • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

    Experience for the Tool Maker:

    • Proven experience as a Tool Maker or similar role
    • Proficiency in CAM programming for tool design and machining operations
    • Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tool assembly processes
    • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and their use in tool making
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications
    • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
    • Proficiency in using hand tools commonly used in tool making
