    Description

    Install, repair, test and/or perform maintenance - along with mounting all types of wireless communications equipment in the field (Security Cameras & Cables) or shop according to manufacturer and company guidelines. Maintain positive customer relations. Must have a LEA or a LEB.

    Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

    • Perform installations of wireless communications equipment, security cameras and install solid conductor low voltage cable, single mode fiber optical cable and multi-mode fiber optical cable.
    • Replace, service, and perform new wiring installs, UPS battery tests, network cable runs.
    • Dress and route cable into telecoms closets, modular furniture & other work area outlets.
    • Experience pulling cable / wire through conduit in new construction facilities / existing older commercial buildings, including attics and confined spaces
    • May climb towers and install cable and antenna consistent with project requirements and according to R56 installation and safety standards. May also deconstruct installation sites as required
    • Configuration/ Basic understanding of small networks: Routers, Hubs, and Networks
    • Inventory and assemble parts prior to installation work to ensure correct parts available on truck
    • Assist with optimization of equipment following installation to ensure it functions properly
    • Complete job tickets and time sheets to record installation work
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Electrical LEA or LEB license needed
    • Must have at least one year of experience in Residential/Commercial Electrical or Low Voltage installs
    • Prior CCTV or equivalent experience including installation, programming, cabling and troubleshooting such as testing electronic security devices, and/or knowledge of analog and IP cameras, DVRs/NVRs, access control, security alarms.
    • Good communication skills to interface with customers in fluent English
    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to climb ladders and carry up to 75 lbs.
    • Ability to work well with others and come to work with a positive attitude.
    • Maintain a valid driver's license.
    • Pass a criminal background check and drug screenings.
    • Some higher education or vocational training specializing in electronics plus 6-12 months related experience installing mobile and fixed communications equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
