- Develops procedures, awareness programs, and supporting templates to aid stakeholders in developing their Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) (HHS) security certification and accreditation and/or Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) artifacts.
- Develops and executes strategies for developing a system development quality assurance (QA) program management office.
- Serves as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and formulates project plans, statements of work (SOW) and budgets in support of IT initiatives.
- Prepares internal and external reports that may include providing audit liaison support to IT operations, such as the Federal Information Security Act (FISMA), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and others as directed.
- Applies advanced IT security principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices sufficient to provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other specialists on critical information systems security issues.
- Monitors organizational, legislative, administrative, and technological changes that affect information systems' security standards and related processes and impact upon future planning to meet the needs of the Agency.
