GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

To perform semi-skilled work in the maintenance and repair of park facilities, grounds, vehicles and equipment, and to provide assistance to park guests as required. The position will also, when necessary, patrol the park and enforce rules and regulations for the protection of the park, visitors, and wildlife. The position works according to procedures and decides how or when to do things under supervision; Work is frequently reviewed by supervisor.

1. General Maintenance of park facilities
2. Custodial
3. Carpentry/minor construction
4. Electrical
5. Plumbing
6. HVAC
7. Park patrol
8. Public interaction
9. Customer Service
10. Special projects
11. Maintain grounds, grass cutting, trimming, landscaping
12. Assist Park Ranger II and Park Superintendent in enforcement of park rules/regulations
13. Register campers/ park users
14. Work outdoors in all weather conditions
15. May require overnight stays in the absence of Park Superintendent and/or Park Ranger II

Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. There will be other duties as assigned.

Additional duties include:

Maintain trail and campground. Clean bathrooms and bath house. Repair damage from storms and vandalism. Work on projects and construction.
