- Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and 3D models.
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, including multi‑axis or live‑tooling systems.
- Select, install, and adjust tooling, workholding, and fixtures.
- Perform offsets, edits, and adjustments as needed during machining.
- Troubleshoot machine or process issues to ensure part accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform in‑process and final quality checks using standard inspection tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and programmers on prototype development.
- 5+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC lathes.
- Strong understanding of G‑code and lathe machining fundamentals.
- Hands‑on experience with multi‑axis lathes, live‑tooling, or mill‑turn machines.
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or similar machine controls.
- High familiarity with machining various metals, alloys, and plastics.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, workholding, and fixturing methods.
- Solid understanding of GD&T and precision measurement tools.
- Ability to take ownership of the machining process from setup to final inspection.
- Ability to adapt between R&D work and short‑run production.
- Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- U.S. Person status required due to access to export‑controlled data.
- Experience operating mill‑turn or multitasking machines.
- Experience in prototype or development machining environments.
- Basic experience editing or reviewing CNC programs.
- Familiarity with Siemens NX CAD/CAM or similar platforms.
